We Support Iraq Veterans Against the War and the “Hempstead 15″
The UM Constitutionalists supports the brave members of the group “Iraq Veterans Against the War.” Adam Kokesh, an outspoken Libertarian activist and active member of IVAW, spoke at the pre-presidential debate rally at the Ole Miss Campus. The video of his speech is below:
In the final presidential debate for the two major parties, a peaceful protest led by IVAW turned violent. Riot police charged their horses into a crowd of nonviolent protesters, severely injuring several activists and fracturing the skull of IVAW member Nick Morgan. Morgan, along with 14 others, were arrested on the scene, and Morgan was refused medical treatment for several hours. The group is now known as the “Hempstead 15″ and will be defending themselves in court on November 15th. Here is the unsettling video of the excessive use of police force from that night:
